Implants - Implants
What are implants?
To put it simply, implants are false roots, on which tooth crowns are rebuilt.
Implants are exceptional prosthetic restoration for a number of reasons:
First of all, they are designed for comfort, both physical and mental. Secondly,
they save problems connected with classic prosthetics (taking the denture out,
the need for polishing, etc). Besides, the aesthetics of this restoration are
amazing. Doctors' experience also shows that the durability of the implants is
impressive. The oldest recorded implant was placed in the oral cavity 30 years
ago and for all this time it has been serving well.
You should not be afraid of implants - Screwing the implants in does not
cause more problems than a tooth extraction. First, the doctor introduces the
implant into the bone. Next, he sutures the postoperative area and waits a few
months until the implant forms bone union. Only after this moment can the
implant be capped or denture placed.

There are a lot of indications of applying implants, from a single tooth loss to
a total toothlessness. The treatment plan is conditioned by the patient's
individual needs, the doctor's decisions and the patient's financial abilities.
Not many people are aware of the fact that the total cost of fitting a single
implant is comparable to a trzypunktowy bridgework, but the profits are much
greater and more durable.
It is often the case that patients who have decided to undergo the implant
treatment find out in a dental office that the treatment is not possible because
of the bone shortage or other unfavourable localisation conditions. In our
clinic, we are usually able to deal with this problem through certain initial
operations, which stimulate the bone growth or orthodontic treatment which helps
find a proper place for the implant.

Do you know that in Europe only 2-3% of dentists do implants? On the other hand,
90-95% of general stomatologists inform their patients about the possibility of
implant treatment and sending to specialisctic institutions is very popular.
In reality, an implant is an additional root made of pure titan placed in the
bone. The healing period lasts from 3 to 6 months. After this time, the tooth
can be capped. If the oral cavity conditions are good, the healing period can be
shorter.
To fit the implant, a sufficient bone amount is necessary. However, owing to
certain surgical methods, our clinic is able to rebuild the lacking bone. Bone
reconstructive operations are part of our daily routine.
In the Aster Med Orthodontic-Implant Centre you can consult professionals who
will help you make the right decision concerning the method of treatment. We are
